Martin Luther King Jr Weekend

It's so nice to have a long weekend!  I like to think that it's easier to relax with a long weekend this early in a school semester.  Whether or not that is true is still up for debate!  Blake and I have been doing some fun things so far this break though!

On Friday, we worked really hard until 6:30 PM and then relaxed hard core.  I made some delicious chicken tacos with a black bean, rice, and onion filling.  Yummmmm.... I also learned my lesson about freezing chicken breasts.  ALWAYS GIVE THEM TIME TO DEFROST!  I don't even like to touch raw meat, and I was handling raw chicken for a solid hour trying to get those dumb breasts apart!

 After dinner, we watched one of the movies that my brother- and sister-in-law, Marcus and Suzy, got me for Christmas.  I love a good TV-crime-drama, and they are now fueling my love for legal drama movies!  We've already watched My Cousin Vinny and The Rainmaker, and Friday night we added Presumed Innocent to the list!

The movie was great! It's from 1990, so Harrison Ford was looking mighty young.  In the movie, he plays a prosecutor who is charged and tried for the murder of another prosecutor, a woman with whom he had had an affair. It was definitely a court room drama, and it kept me guessing right up to the end!

On Saturday, I worked out and did some housekeeping.  Laundry, dishes, cleaning, etc. Fun stuff.  Then for dinner, we went over to Allen's place for dinner and a movie!  Haha I guess that's a grad student's favorite way to relax, evidenced by our MLK long weekend....  Anyway, Allen, Justin, Blake, and I had a lot of fun! Allen made us dinner, and we sat around and talked and watched the end of a football game.  Then, we watched a classic, science fiction movie... Alien!

Obviously it's a classic for a reason!  I've never seen it before, so I was jumping like crazy when things were flying out of the walls and attacking people.  The second movie, Aliens, is next on our queue of movies to watch!

Tonight we're going on a triple date!  It should be fun!  I'll try to remember to take pictures this time! Haha... hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend!

Also, I've done some blog-updating around here, and I added tabs!  It took me forever, and I should have been studying, but I think I like it... any thoughts?  Also, I just realized that this is mine and Blake's 250th post!  WHAT?!
