A Cozy Little Corner

So it's been a week since my last post, but the riveting long lost blogger has returned! I just opened the window in our apartment to make it nice and cold, put on my Georgetown sweatshirt, made a cup of Chai Tea, and wrapped myself up in a blanket on the couch. I've got my lamps on to provide dim lighting and my new laptop at my fingertips ready to conquer more studying. This is the epitome of cozy. Catie, unfortunately, is not here to experience this with me; however, I'm sure she is having a more pleasant time in Texas visiting her family during her fall break-- at least she's not studying!

A lot has gone on since last week. I took my first Genetics test, miraculously did very well, met some of Catie's really cool law school friends, and did a couple of Stroke Awareness presentations at a Elderly Community Center and at a Child Care Center across the Anacostia River in Southeast DC.

Lately, Catie and I have been watching 'Veronica Mars', a TV show given to us in DVD form by one of her wonderful law friends. It's been a reward to ourselves after our hardworking days. But since Catie is gone, I'm having Veronica Mars withdrawal. So I can get into TV shows fairly easily and become obsessed with them. I have found myself puzzling some of the mysteries of the show throughout the past several days, counting down the time until I'll be able to watch the next episode with Catie. I know, you may be thinking that the show is lame and you're wondering how I can actually like it... but you have to remember that I sit and listen to med school lectures for 3-5 hours per day... Trust me, ANYTHING is better than that! Thankfully, Catie got me a couple of DVD's of a show I like called Medium from the public library to watch while she is gone. I've been watching 1 episode during dinner and 1 episode before bed. I'm so lame, I know.

Anyways, I'm sorry my posts don't have pretty pictures like Catie's always do. I'll work on that. In the mean time, this will have to suffice. To all the world who continues to follow this blog, in other words, my parents and maybe one more gracious soul, I now sign out! Until next time...
